Mechanical Engineer II (Onsite)

RTX's Shipboard Effectors Department in Huntsville is hiring a Mechanical Engineer II to help support production of its effector products and subsystems. The engineer solves design, manufacturing, integration and sustainment problems in the lab, on the factory floor and at suppliers, supports first article inspections, work instruction reviews, material dispositions and root cause investigations, and presents data-backed analyses to engineering review boards. Regular onsite support at the Missile Integration Facility and 10-15% supplier travel are expected. Applicants need a master's in mechanical, aerospace or a similar engineering field, no more than 12 months of professional experience, and 3D CAD and drawing interpretation skills. U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance are required; the posting says both an active clearance and the ability to obtain an interim one. Pay is $68,900 - $131,100.
