Structural Analyst III

Blue Origin's Engines unit in Huntsville wants a structural analyst to assess rotating and static engine hardware. Daily work covers hand calculations and finite element models checking strength, fatigue and creep, joining trade studies, documenting stress results so drawings can be released, building automation tools for analysis and reports, and helping shape test plans. Applicants need a bachelor's in engineering with at least five years of experience, skill with a code such as ANSYS Workbench, Nastran, Abaqus or LS-Dyna, experience with welded and bolted joints and rotating machinery, and scripting ability. Relocation is provided, and travel runs up to 10 percent.
