CFD Analyst III

Blue Origin's Engines business unit in Huntsville is looking for an experienced computational fluid dynamics analyst. The job centers on building detailed CFD models that predict heat loads, temperatures and structural loading in combustion devices and turbomachinery, then handing boundary conditions to thermal and structural analysis teams. The analyst also checks models against engine test data, runs design trade studies, automates parts of the CFD workflow and mentors newer engineers. Applicants need a bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar, at least five years of CFD work on engine-related systems, experience with tools such as Fluent, CFX, Star-CCM+ or OpenFOAM, and scripting skills. Relocation is provided, travel runs up to 10%, and no pay range is listed.
