CNC Machinist 4 (Night Shift)

Teledyne Brown Engineering is hiring a night-shift CNC Machinist 4 in Huntsville. With little supervision, the machinist programs, sets up and runs CNC equipment that mills, drills, punches, broaches or reams metal and plastic parts, including complex production and prototype work. Duties include reading drawings and route sheets, choosing tools, speeds, feeds and operation order, calculating dimensions, and checking parts with precision instruments. The role may train and lead less senior machinists. Applicants need a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and usually eight or more years of machine shop experience including programming. The posting lists US citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance among possible requirements. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts, paid as 40 hours.
